First of all, make sure you've got the latest Sky Go app for your iPad, iPhone or Android.
You can download the Sky Go app for Android devices on Google Play or from iTunes for Apple devices. You'll also need to make sure your Chromecast is Generation 3 or Ultra. Open the Sky Go app on your tablet or smartphone. At the top right of the app, you'll see the Chromecast icon which looks like a. Google Chromecast is an electronic device that is used to cast your Smartphone or computer screen on your TV. Sky Go is an application that allows you to stream live sports, news, movies and much more. Sky Go is only available in the United Kingdom and was launched in January 2006.
You'll also need to make sure your Chromecast is Generation 3 or Ultra, as we don't support other models or Chromecast built into your TV.
Once you've done that, follow these steps:
Go Chromecast Apps
- Connect your Chromecast to your TV's HDMI port and connect the USB to either your TV or using the wall charger which comes with your Chromecast. This makes sure your Chromecast has power. For more information, refer to the instructions included in your Chromecast packaging
- Make sure your Chromecast and your smartphone or tablet are connected to the same WiFi network
- Turn your TV channel to the HDMI channel that your Chromecast is connected to and follow the instructions on the screen
- You'll then need to download the Chromecast app from chromecast.com/setup on the tablet or smartphone you're using
- Once you've installed the Chromecast app, you'll need to follow the setup process
- Once all this is setup, in the Sky Go video player, select the Chromecast icon, Sky Go should connect to your Chromecast and you should see Sky Go on your big screen.
